She Huo
April 14th & 15th 2007. Composition Commission Recipient for ensemble Les Percussions Claviers de Lyon (France)’s concerts Beijing (at the Forbidden City Concert Hall).
The composition is entitled "She Huo" ( in chinese). The origin of this term comes from the old chinese tradition of celebrations during certain traditional festivals, including the spring festival. It usually involves people making folk art works, giving music & dance & chinese opera performances carried on from the ancient time in She Huo ceremonies. I have named the piece "She Huo" since it is the inspiration for this new piece.
